Terms of Sale
By placing an order with us you are (I) offering to purchase a product (II) representing that you are of legal age to form a binding contract and (III) representing that all information you provide to us in connection with such order is true and accurate and you are the authorised user of the payment method provided.
Sales of goods T&C’s
Our goods come with warranties and guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law (Consumer Guarantees). You are entitled to a replacement or a refund for a major failure and for compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.”
Unauthorised use of the website
You agree to use this website only for the purposes outlined in our terms and conditions. You agree not to participate in any activity that disrupts or interferes with the website. You agree not to interfere or disable the security features of the website. Any fraudulent or illegal activity or unauthorised use of the website shall constitute a violation of the TheMakeupChest’s terms and conditions and we may refer any suspected fraudulent & illegal activity on to relevant law enforcement authority’s.
Liabilities
Accuracy of information on site.
We do our best to ensure that all information on the site is complete, accurate and current. Despite our best efforts, however information on this site may be occasionally be inaccurate or incomplete. All specifications, products, descriptions and prices are subject to change at any time without notice. We make all reasonable efforts to accurately display the attributes of our products including their colours. However the actual colour you see will depend on your computer system and screen. We cannot guarantee that your computer will accurately display such colours. The inclusion of any product on this site at a particular time does not imply or warrant that it will be available at any time. The Makeup Chest reserves the right to discontinue any product at any time.
If you see something on the website that you believes contains a mistake, we encourage you to contact us straightaway so that we may correct the error.
Product Prices
The price of products and delivery are shown in Australian Dollars and all include where applicable GST. The prices of products displayed on TheMakeupChest website are current at the time of display. Delivery fees are not included in the product price and are added during checkout.
All items that are purchased on sale are final sale! No exception. Sale prices do not extend to prior purchases of the same item. i.e You cannot be credited for a purchase that you made at full price for the new sale price.
Discounts and coupons
TheMakeupChest will offer discounts and coupons at different times. These discounts can be limited to 1 per customer or order please not that a customer cannot redeem multiple discounts or coupons at one time as TheMakeupChest only allows for one discount to be redeemed at any one time. TheMakeupchest will offer free shipping codes at different times these are on available for use in Australia with standard shipping.
Gift Vouches
TheMakeupChest offers electronic gift vouchers. These are not redeemable for cash. All electronic vouchers are valid for a period of 12 months from the date of purchase.
Disclamier
Refunds
When the product is opened unused or tested and not faulty a refund cannot be given. We will happily exchange for incorrectly supplied product or faulty product as in accordance with the Australia Consumer Law. Please choose carefully as we do not refund or exchange for change of mind or on sale items. For returns to be accepted you must contact us via email address erin@themakeupchest.com.au and notify us of the incorrectly supplied or faulty product once we have confirmed. You can post the item back as long as it it has not been opened and is undamaged and in its original packaging. Due to hygiene we cannot accept items that have been opened or used. Please note the customer is responsible for the shipping costs associated with the refund.
Deliveries(Australia Wide)
The Makeup Chest uses Australia post to deliver our products. This product is registered allowing your order to be tracked. We also apply a flat rate shipping cost per region therefore the customer will only pay one shipping fee for any size order for standard delivery. Our current standard shipping rate is $8.00 which is applied to all regions in Australia this is available for all orders under $70. All orders over $70 will receive free standard shipping no matter the size of the order. Express Shipping is also offered at a flat rate of $25 on all orders Australia wide. The Makeup Chest reserves the right to change this flat rate at any time.
Please note If the customer accidentally inputs the wrong address or needs to add something to their order, they have a window of 2 hrs(from time of purchase) to contact us via email at Erin@themakeupchest.com.au to edit these details before we dispatch the order.
Deliveries (International - USA)
All shipping cost are in Australian dollars. International shipping is calculated by weight under 500g is $26 AUD. Over 1kg is $42 AUD. At this stage only standard shipping is offered for international postage.
Please note that unless otherwise stated on the website that delivery estitmates are just that. They are not guranteed delivery times and therefor should not be treated as such.
Change of Address
If after placing an order a customer chooses to contact the courier service privately to request a change of address or a safe drop. TheMakeupChest is no longer liable if the order get lost in transit.
Reactions to skin care/ cosmetic products
TheMakeupChest sells cosmetics and skin care. We do not endorse the statement and claims made by the products and brands. Some products could cause an adverse reaction for example a skin irritation or allergies and we advise that you read an adhere to all warnings and instruction written on the individual product. TheMakeupChest cannot be held responsible for any adverse reaction that may occur from the use of a product. If you do unfortunately suffer and undesired outcome please after using a product please contact the brand owner and our team.
Law & Jurisdiction
TheMakeupChest terms and conditions and performance are governed by the laws that are applicable in New South Wales Australia. The courts of which shall have exclusive jurisdiction to determine any issues arising from the terms and conditions and their performance.

TheMakeupChest respects the privacy of the personal information we collect. All passwords stored in our system are encrypted and our server security is reviewed regularly. All sensitive data transmission to and from our website is encrypted.
Intellectual property rights
TheMakeupChest owns the intellectual property rights in the website and in the material published. These works are protected by copyright laws. You may not modify or copy the materials, use the materials for any commercial purposes or for any public display (commercial or non commercial).
